HOW IT WORKS

How GLP-1 weight loss works

GLP-1 medications mimic a natural gut hormone your body releases after you eat. Working together, they help you eat less without the constant fight against hunger.

Feel full longer

They slow how quickly your stomach empties, so a normal meal keeps you satisfied for hours.

Quiet the cravings

They turn down appetite and the “food noise,” so you're not thinking about the next snack all day.

Steady blood sugar

They help regulate blood sugar and insulin response, which supports steadier energy and fat loss.

Semaglutide activates the GLP-1 pathway. Tirzepatide is a newer, dual-action medication that works on GLP-1 and a second pathway (GIP), which is why many patients see even greater results.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Is GLP-1 therapy right for you?

The only way to know for sure is a physician evaluation — that's the first step in our program, and it's done in person with me.

This may be a good fit if…

  • You're an adult working toward sustained weight loss and ready for a medically guided plan.
  • You've tried diet and exercise alone without lasting results.
  • You'd rather have real medical oversight than order from a website.
  • You have a weight-related health concern you want to get ahead of.

Let's talk it through first if…

  • You have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2.
  • You're pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • You have a medical history that may make these medications unsafe.

I review your full history personally before we begin.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Real results, built to last

Results vary from person to person and depend on the medication, your dose, and the changes you make alongside it. In large clinical studies, patients lost a meaningful percentage of their body weight over about a year, and many also saw improvements in blood sugar and blood pressure.

GLP-1 therapy works best as part of a plan, not a quick fix. We pair your medication with nutrition and lifestyle guidance — so the results you reach are results you can keep.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same medication as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound?
Those are brand-name products. Our program uses compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide — the same active medications — prepared by an accredited, state-licensed compounding pharmacy and supervised by me. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved; we use them to offer transparent, accessible pricing while keeping your care in person and physician-led.
How much does it cost?
Fully transparent. Compounded semaglutide + B12 starts at $199/month; tirzepatide + B12 starts at $269/month. The price includes your medication, B12, and your physician's care. The only optional add-on is $25 overnight shipping. See the full pricing page for every dose tier.
Do I need insurance?
No. This is a transparent cash-pay program — no insurance runaround and no surprise bills.
Why is B12 included?
B12 is included in every dose to support energy and help offset the fatigue some people feel while losing weight.
How is this different from online GLP-1 sellers?
With telehealth-only sellers, you fill out a form and a clinician you'll never meet writes a prescription. Here, you're evaluated and monitored in person by me, Dr. Nilesh Desai, a board-certified physician, with the team that already knows your health.
Are there side effects?
The most common effects are gastrointestinal — nausea (especially when starting or increasing a dose), constipation, and dehydration. Some people also lose muscle along with fat, which is why our program includes nutritional guidance with an emphasis on protein and strength activity to help protect lean muscle. Starting at a low dose and increasing slowly under my supervision is how we minimize side effects, and I'll review the full risks with you.
How do I start?
Call (727) 807-6900 or email the office with the subject “GLP-1 Interest.” The first step is a physician evaluation with me.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. This program requires a medical evaluation and is not appropriate for everyone; eligibility is determined by your physician. Individual results vary.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are the active ingredients in certain brand-name GLP-1 medications; compounded formulations are prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy and are not the brand-name products.
